1974 Camp Sagamore

STARS!!

Pictures of the T-shirts show we were the STARS!

I don't remember this year.... what's up with that? What was the skit? Were the guys STRIPES?

In this 1st picture I see Hcra, ?Brenda, Tankersly?, Elene Acuff, Blondie, long hair girl- is that Jhar ?, Behind Brho is Karen Adams, Stho, being wisked away on the bed... is that Judy Harris? Pink short shorts, is that Ccra?

Cfar in deep thought.... or she is saying "What the ..."

This photo I recognize Stho, Bbow, Bcai, & in back ground Clara Hubbard.

STARS!
I really think I must have missed some of this camp due to being gone on vacation...

The next photo is of Jhar and friend. Then here I am with Dmoo - he wasn't happy with me because I was wearing his ring on a string around my neck hidden.... oooooo

Hey Jnan did you take this picture of us, I don't know who took this picture. But I remember watching Dixie Davis & Buddy Huey fighting and thinking that they didn't look like they were in love... that memory could have been a different year.

Looking at more of my summer '74 photos... seems like I was gone on vacation camping longer than normal and I remember thoughts of not missing Dmoo very much. (oops, cat out of the bag) Prior to vacation, I see there was a wedding or two... all things this summer were very thought provoking...so I must have been in deep thought about life when returned to Fort Worth, then to Camp.

1973 Pink Mushroom

A few of us worked at the Pink Mushroom after school. It was a daycare at Tierney Road and Panola, behind the apts. where Marcie Creech once lived.

I had the 2 year old class. They napped, snacked and played outside. Tste and Kwil also worked there, I have a couple of pictures.

Terri & I also worked together in 1975 at Seven Seas. This was one of the BEST Summers ... and one of the most fun jobs I ever had. Here is a look:

The last photo ... Tste is 2nd from left (in orange next to some GUY! ) and I am last one on right(in pink and green).
Jobs - some fun, some not-so-fun, some for the money, some you would do for free...
Some of my memorable ones during the college years were working at Piggly Wiggly until midnight, Tandy Craft stores, Washer Bros. and John L. Ashe.
Tell a story about one of yours!

Bongo List Found

While going through OLD STUFF, I found this list made on a half of an index card. This is an original list from a Bongo night together and we determined who was the most likely to get married first!

I see that I made a few notes a few years later of dates and names.

Oakland Park

Picnic Fellowship at Oakland Park one afternoon....
You can see my car in the background of a picture, the white Monte Carlo, between Jnan and Cbro through the trees.

I remember this picnic being boring.... that I didn't stay long. Made a few pictures of Jnan (the life of the party), Dkee and at the table looks like Brho? Also Joyce B & Brenda something...
Dkee with feet in the air.
Jnan pushed the soccer ball at the camera, so it appears that the ball is wearing the hat, NOT!

1972 Road Trip

Spring of 1972

1972 was very exciting watching basketball! I remember a road trip going south to Aggie land for some kind of basketball game that JNAN was in!

Look at the roadies - Jpen, Dcog, Bsmi, Ccra ....

By the pictures ... there is evidence of Dunkin Donuts !

Pit stops and we ALL took naps. Except the picture of Ccra asleep, appears that she is FAKING it!!!!

The crown on Bsmi I think came from Burger King, not sure.

I remember lots of fun.

I have no clue what this picture is about of Dcog standing in the parking lot of EHHS.... do you?

Last I threw in a picture here of Jnan's first car, I dont remember her name - but I do remember Jnan naming the car. Jnan was so happy with these wheels that he did donuts (with the car) in my driveway!

Dcog was the pool shark, but seems like Cbru (Jpen's date) was too. These other folks .... I cant remember names! lol CAN YOU? Oh, I do remember the blonde in the rocker was who Chop married, Jhei (Heinz like the pickles), but where is Chop?

Fort Worth Fat Stock Show

It's JANUARY & that means STOCK SHOW! Every year we hit the midway having a blast. Rides, flirting, food, checking out the barns of animals...

Parades

Fort Worth is where the WEST begins - none of us were Cowgirls or in the Cowboy groups, but living in Fort Worth, we understood the history. We went to the annual rodeos year after year. Schools closed for a Stock Show day, handing out free gate entrance tickets to students.

For such a tradition, I only have a few pictures from 1969. None of us would dare wear cowboy boots during our teenage years, however by the time I was 30 - I did have several pairs, for boot scootin' two stepping of course!
First picture is of Jkle & Bbow and the Midway behind them.

Next Jkle just had something GOOD to eat!

Hippies in the trees! This impressed us....

Jpen having fun ...

Jpen thought it was real cold, Cfar calling her mom to come pick her up ... no cell phones then!

Welcome to the New Year !

Happy 2009!
Did everyone stay awake and watch the new year arrive? Dick Clark's party just isn't what it used to be.

Many years as our parents had SS Socials or parties to go to, Jkle and I happen to ring in the new year together. As young dignified teens, we would run around the house screaming Happy New Year with all the noise makers. Really a lot of fun. I wanted to run outside this year, but Bob wouldn't go, and it isn't as fun without a partner in crime...

As we remember 2008 and contemplate the new 2009, my prayer for each of you is that you enjoy many more days of joy than sadness and that the new year be filled with adventure, love, and joy.

Live it to the fullest! (without regrets)

Peace & Love to all and Happy New Year!
